High-quality printing at speeds up to 1,000 FPM
Eliminates clutches, motors, gearboxes, and gear trains
No gear marking
Eliminates the need for special gearing for different repeats
Eliminates imperfect ratios in determining mesh between the
  plate and impression cylinders
Faster changeovers
Faster make-readies with less materials waste
Automatic registration
Exceptional job repeatability
Simplified operations- computer-controlled
Accommodates different cylinder sizes with infinite adjustment
Fewer moving parts and lower maintenance costs
No performance degradation- servo technology is as robust in
10+ years as on day one
100% Servo-Driven
Gone are the problems associated with clutches, motors, gearboxes, and gear trains. Also gone is the use of expensive tooling that requires both bearings and gearing. The only thing that remains is whisper-smooth precision printing at speeds up to 1,000 FPM.
The Servo FPC
Inline Print Head

The FPC features an inline print head design for unequaled stability and exceptional printing reproduction. The 4-way servo print head is adjusted using ball screws that enable micro adjustments in increments of 1/100, 1/1,000 and 1/10,000 of an inch. There are no pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders used for print head functions. Gone is any possibility of a rebound effect. Each print station can be configured for reverse printing.

The FPC has the most rigid, robust, and solid inline print head design in the industry. Supported on 1-1/2" thick steel frames, the FPC is built for heavy use-shift after shift, year after year.

Advanced Sleeve Technology
Advanced sleeve technology is used on both the anilox rolls and plate cylinders. The inline configuration eliminates the need for costly bearing blocks. Each print station can be configured for reverse printing.
Printing Versatility
Printing versatility is synonymous with long-term viability. The Servo FPC is available in 16", 20", 24", 28", and 32" web widths, and has the ability to print substrates ranging from 60-gauge film to 24-point board. The open frame design allows you to add combination-printing capabilities such as inline gravure print stations, rotary screen, digital, and hot and cold foil. The Servo FPC is a great investment because it holds its value as a high-performance production platform no matter where future packaging trends go.
Drying Versatility
The chilled impression cylinder has a 32" circumference. UV light is applied directly on the impression cylinder for immediate curing of UV inks. Hot air IR driers are used for water-based inks and other drying options are available.
Repeat Versatility
One great advantage of servo printing is the elimination of special repeat gearing. With the Servo FPC you can handle repeats from 12" to 32" or the equivalent range in metric sizes by simply dialing in the repeat on the touch screen control console-the press does the rest.

Operator Friendly
A hallmark of Aquaflex design is superior press ergonomics. The Servo FPC is built with the operator's safety and ease-of-use in mind. The walk-through design places all the printing components within easy access. The operator has a straight-on view of the printing process. Adjustments are made using a print station touch-screen control panel that swings into position for input and adjustments.

The Servo FPC utilizes advanced sleeve technology for both the anilox roll and print cylinders. At the press of a button, the anilox and plate cylinders lift up for a tooless slide-off and slide-on exchange of plate and anilox sleeves. Numerous die-cutting configurations, including rotary and flat bed die-cutting, are available to meet your application requirements..

Fast Changeover and Make-Ready
Servo FPC changeovers and make-readies are fast and easy-saving labor and materials costs. Using the touch-screen control panel, the operator enters the new job specification such as length of run, substrate tension, repeat length, substrate thickness, etc. Once entered, specifications can be applied to all print stations.

With the press of a button the sleeved anilox roll and print cylinders separate and lift for a tool-less sleeve removal within easy access. New print cylinder and anilox sleeves are slid into position and with another press of a button the cylinders lower and index into a pre-registered position. The Servo FPC then automatically adjusts to the optimum printing conditions. Fine adjustments can be made, using the convenient touch-screen control panel, in 1/100, 1/1000 and 1/10,000 of an inch increments for accurate print head settings. The Pre-register and Automatic Registration function finishes the job.

Pre-Register and Automatic Registration
The Servo FPC features a Pre-register and Automatic Registration function. The operator enters the desired repeat then presses a button, and the new sleeved print cylinder lowers into position and everything comes back on impression. The press automatically puts the plate into pre-register mode. Once the press starts up, the automatic registration then holds the print cylinder in registration regardless of speed. With automatic registration, your make-ready is completed in just a few minutes-it's that easy!
